Opportunities You May Not Have Considered
Research

- UNL Summer Research Program - The Summer Research Program offers outstanding undergraduates the chance to work closely with faculty in an intensive summer research experience. Your preview of graduate school.
Study Abroad
Short or long term programs. Use most financial aid to study abroad. Programs taught in English, or learn another language.
Independent Study
A variety of programs make your schedule more flexible. Be sure to check policies. Some independent study courses count in your full time status, while others are open entry and you can complete early or take a year to finish. The format is different for Summer Independent Study. Without regular class meetings the courses require self-discipline.
Summer Sessions
With 4 different sessions from 3 to eight weeks, there is probably a way to pick up some credit over the summer and still have time off. Enrollment is first come, first served, unlike priority registration for spring and fall.
